Dr Donald PITCHFORD

Dr Donald Pitchford MBBCh FCSOrth FRACS is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon based in Lake Macquarie NSW and consulting from our Gosford location as an Independent Medical Practitioner. Although Dr Pitchford is a general orthopedic surgeon and has interest in trauma, including paediatric trauma, minor orthopaedic procedures such as carpal tunnel procedures, ingrown toenails etc

Dr Pitchford gained his Medical Degree in 1977 from the University of the Witwatersrand. He went on to the College of Medicine of South Africa and completed his Fellowship in 1990. Following this, Dr Pitchford was a lateral entrant Orthopaedic trainee at Royal Brisbane Hospital in 1999 and passed the FRACS fellowship exam at the end of 1999.

Dr Pitchford was the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Mackay Base Hospital for three years and at the Gold Coast Hospital for over 18 years. Dr Pitchford enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, bush walks, bird watching and travelling.
